On May 14, 2021, President Biden officially revoked Trump’s Presidential Proclamation 9945 (that went into effect in October 2019). PP 9945 suspended entry of immigrants who were determined to be at risk of “burdening” the US healthcare system. Biden noted that the former proclamation “does not advance the interests of the United States.”
